Therapeutic effects:

Generic Tadalafil soft contains the active ingredient Tadalafil that belongs to a group of ED medications called PDE5 inhibitors. Tadalafil is a selective inhibitor of specific phosphodiesterase type 5. When sexual excitement causes local release of nitrogen oxide, the inhibition of nitrogen oxide results in increase of cyclic GMP amount in the cavernous body of the penis. This ultimately leads to relaxation of smooth muscles and blood inflow to penile tissues causing strong erection. Tadalafil is not effective without sexual arousal. Generic Tadalafil comes in the form of soft tablets which are dissolved under the tongue. This allow to achieve faster onset of therapeutic action.

Drug interactions:

• Alcohol
• CYP 3A4 inhibitor medications
• Alpha blockers
• Nitrates (nitroglycerin and its derivatives)
• Other phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors
• Xantines

Cautions and restrictions:

Generic Tadalafil is contraindicated for use in the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to any of the medications ingredients
• Heart diseases such as angina, heart attack, congestive heart failure, coronary heart diseases
• History of heart attacks and strokes within the past 6 months
• Severe liver diseases
• Severe kidney diseases
• Retinitis pigmentosa
• Vision loss (a condition called NAION)
• Stomach ulcers
• High or low blood pressure (hypertension or hypotension)
• Bleeding problems
• Blood diseases such as anemia, myeloma, leukemia
• Priapism of a history of priapism
• Anatomical deformation of the penis (angulation, Peyronie's disease, cavernosal fibrosis)
